RESEARCH FOCUS:

The overriding goal of my research interest is to find out effective and efficient ways to deliver sport in order to advance our society. A particular research interest includes the designing and evaluating of sport-related intervention programs, community sport development, and sport policy and development. My research has been focusing on theory-based sport program design and evaluation, community sport development and health promotion, and sport policy formation and analysis. In addition, I am interested in enhancing sport participation, as well as sport spectatorship. A special research interest includes understanding the sport consumer’s decision-making process in international and regional sport events. This line of research has been extended to several related issues such as social marketing and tourism management.
